1. General Information
This application, VGC Damage Calc for Champions, developed by Cano Labs (hereinafter "the Developer"), is a utility tool designed to perform damage calculations for competitive Pokémon battles. It is available as a web application (accessible at calc.canolabs.dev) and mobile applications for iOS and Android.
2. Data Collection and Usage
The Developer does not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers) from the user.
- No Registration required: You do not need to create an account or sign in to use either the web or mobile versions of the application.
- No Location Tracking: The application does not request or access your device's precise GPS location.
- No Sensitive Device Permissions: The application does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, or local file system storage (except local application cache).
- Local Processing: All game data inputted into the application (such as specific Pokémon EV spreads, movesets, or items) is processed locally on your device.
3. Advertising and Cookies
To keep this service free, we display advertisements in both our web and mobile applications using third-party services. These services may collect and process user data under their own privacy policies.
3.1. Google AdMob (Mobile Applications)
The iOS and Android mobile applications display ads provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob uses mobile device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA) and may collect general technical data to serve and measure advertisements.
- Consent Management (GDPR Compliance): For users residing in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom (UK), the application uses the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to collect and manage cookie and advertisement consent.
- Personalized vs. Non-Personalized Ads: If you grant consent, AdMob will show personalized ads tailored to your interests based on your app activity and device history. If you decline consent or opt-out, AdMob will serve non-personalized ads. Non-personalized ads do not use device identifiers for ad targeting, but still require cookies/identifiers for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and combatting fraud and abuse.
- Revoking or Modifying Consent: You can change, review, or withdraw your consent settings at any time. To do so, open the bottom navigation sheet (on mobile) or settings menu in the app and select "Privacy Settings" to re-open the consent options window.
3.2. Google AdSense (Web Application)
The web application hosted at calc.canolabs.dev uses Google AdSense to serve advertisements.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Opting Out: You may opt-out of personalized web advertising by visiting the Google Ad Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt-out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
4. Analytics and Third-Party Services
To improve the application experience and understand user preferences, the app uses analytical services to collect aggregated, non-personally identifiable statistical data.
4.1. Google Analytics for Firebase
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous usage statistics. This helps us understand feature usage, crash occurrences, and general navigation flows. The data collected includes:
